An Album || Short Story

I’ve never been a hip-hop kind of girl. The music never really caught my attention until I participated in powderpuff this year (football for girls). I know it sounds a little crazy but bear with me. I have always loved country and pop, and I never gave hip-hop or rap the time of the day because I wasn’t too fond of all the cursing that went on. Every time I showed up to practice some rap song was going on. I had to admit it was catchy, so I would go home and tried to remember all the lyrics I could so I could research the name of the song. That’s the how I learned to appreciate it. Thank you to the best team, #BAB! My favorite album has to be DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar. Every song in this album has a story.

Song

Despacito. No words needed. I think we can all agree this is the song of summer of 2017. No matter how much you try to hate this song or Justin Bieber, it’s just too catchy. I don’t even know if people actually understand the Spanish parts, but they still sing to it. I could have this song on replay the whole day.

Three TV Shows

My favorite TV Show is Catfish: The TV Show. This show hooks (Haha, see what I did here.) you from the every beginning. Catfish: The TV Show brings together couples who’ve interacted solely through LCD screens. Over the course of months they’ve supposedly fallen in love — but what will happen when they meet in real life for the first time? It is unbelievable how people are blinded by love. Max is my favorite.

In the past years, I’ve had this weird obsession with watching CNN even though they repeat stories over and over, but I traded it in this year for Dr. Phil. I don’t know why, but this show just amuses me too much. I love how it has serious and funny episodes.

Lastly, Teen Wolf. I’m so excited that this show is coming back. I actually started watching it from season 5. Again, it never caught my attention to see a bunch of fake werewolves running around trying to save the day, but it’s not as bad as it seems. The storyline is okay, and I have shed some tears.

Would love to know what you’re listening to or watching lately! Anything good I should add to my queue?

  1. I totally feel you with Despacito – you can’t help but sing along because it’s always playing! A new show I’ve been obsessed with is Riverdale on Netflix… finished the first season in two weeks, and now I have to wait till next year for season 2, but it is so worth it!
