I am so excited to start my new journey at Texas Tech University. If you would have told a few years ago that I would be going here I wouldn’t have believed you. It has taken me 18 years to fall in love with Texas Tech. Growing up in Lubbock, Texas the pride for this University was/is beyond this world. The traffic was so bad on game days that it would annoy me. Texas Tech was not my first choice. I did get accepted to my college of choice, Baylor, but at the end of the day it came down to one thing, family.
I vowed to myself that I would never choose Tech, but as I started maturing I realized that I couldn’t go anywhere because home is where the heart is. I know it sounds a little cliche, but it’s true. I cannot imagine leaving my family behind, especially the man that means the world to me, my dad. My family bleeds red and black. My uncle, who is friends with the beautiful Coach Kingsbury, and my aunt both work at Texas Tech. It’s kind of hard to believe that I don’t own a single Tech shirt; even though I have lived here my whole life, but that’s all about to change. Wreck ‘Em!!
Fun Fact: I didn’t wear my shoes (Jack Rogers) the entire time I was shooting these pictures. I absolutely hate wearing shoes.
