Self-esteem is something we all struggle with. Whether you are an adult or a teen, there is always something that you will never feel comfortable with. 1. Love yourself.
The key to happiness is simply to love yourself. It is very difficult for someone else to love you when you don’t love yourself. Stop hating yourself for everything you aren’t and start loving yourself for everything you already are. Absolutely nothing is wrong with you! That’s right, you are perfectly perfect just the way you are.
Smiling makes you look more confident and approachable. This can also greatly improve your mood.3. Have positivity.
Surround yourself with people that make you feel good about yourself. Your friends probably don’t notice the things you are self-conscious about, so try and act confident. Spread positivity everywhere you go. And remember that it’s okay to not love everything about your body. Just stay positive and embrace it.4. Be kinder towards other people.
Do you remember the saying our teachers always told us? “Treat people the way you want to be treated.” Well, guess what? That saying actually works. When you are kinder towards other people you tend to treat and think of yourself in a kinder way too. And the way you treat other people is how they tend to treat you in the long run.5. Stop comparing yourself to someone else.
When you compare yourself, your life, or what you have to others you have a destructive habit on your hands. You’ll never win. There will always be someone who has more or is better than you at something in the world. There are always people ahead of you. Instead, replace that habit with something better: look at how far you have come so far. Compare yourself to your past self and see the progress you’ve made. Focus on you.
